Today will end our streak of 90 degree heat as the parched ground and ample sun provide another hot September day. Expect this to be the fifth straight day with highs in the 90s for the Midstate! Friday is still going to be warm, but clouds from Hurricane Earl may limit temperatures to the upper 80s. Earl does not look like a major factor for us, but any beach goers will have difficult conditions with rain and wind on Friday. Fortunately, Earl will move quickly and sunshine returns for the east coast on Saturday. The weekend weather will result from cool air plunging south from Canada. This cool air will arrive Friday night behind a cold front. This front may provide a few spotty showers Friday evening, but no significant rain is expected. Plan for highs on Saturday to be 20 to 25 degrees cooler than today!
