After a summer-like Wednesday, a cold front will bring a thin and broken line of showers/t-storms through the area this evening/early tonight. This front is not very impressive, so only a few areas will likely see a shower or thunderstorm. The rest of tonight will be mainly clear with areas of fog.
Sunny skies and seasonal temperatures will prevail for Thursday and Friday.
We are still fine-tuning the weekend forecast. We'll end up dry, however, the big question is whether we'll have a sunny skies or cloudy skies for the weekend. We see two scenarios taking shape:
Scenario1- High pressure creates a southEAST flow, resulting in moisture from the Atlantic Ocean. Low level clouds will prevail for the majority of the day with high temperatures in the low 70s.
Scenario2- High pressure creates a southWEST flow, resulting in drier air and plentiful sunshine. High temperatures would likely peek in the upper 80s.
We will continue to monitor the weekend. Until then, enjoy the next two days!
