DOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

A man suspected of shoving a bag of frozen shrimp down his pants was charged with robbery after he attacked a security officer at a York County grocery store, according to police.

Brian McDaniel, 37, of Conewago Township, was seen putting the shrimp down the front of his pants Thursday afternoon at the Weis Markets at 2850 Carlisle Road in Dover Township, according to Northern York County Regional police.

McDaniel refused to stop for the officer, and instead struck him several times in the head, face and neck before fleeing to the parking lot, where the officer and a bystander were able to stop him, police said.

In addition to robbery, he was charged with retail theft and simple assault.
