Dennis Owens Dennis Owens

Dennis joined abc27 in 1993 as weekend sports anchor, a post he held for several years. In November 1999, he was named co-anchor of abc27's "Live at Five."

He currently anchors abc27 News at 6:00 p.m. with Alicia Richards and abc27 News at 7:00 p.m. with Valerie Pritchett.

Dennis was born in Pennsylvania and attended La Salle University in Philadelphia, earning a B.A. in Communications.

    The Pennsylvania State Police discriminates against women, according to a lawsuit filed by the United State Department of Justice.The suit was filed in Harrisburg's Federal Court late Tuesday, and claims that fitness readiness screening used by the PSP to weed out applicants is an artificial barrier to bar women.
