Constable injured in accidental shooting

COLUMBIA, Pa. (WHTM) - A constable sustained a non-life threatening wound when his firearm accidentally discharged Monday afternoon in Columbia, police said.

The constable was executing an eviction process in the 400 block of Walnut Street when the accident occurred around 3:40 p.m.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment. 

The property was unoccupied at the time of the incident, police said.
