York County factory tour celebrates 20th anniversary

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) - The York County Convention and Visitors Bureau continues to organize the Made in America Tours event.

The yearly effort allows people to get behind-the-scenes looks at American products being made. York County is home to several big companies, including Utz and Harley Davidson.

The tour consists of 35 locations.

Smaller businesses include Sunrise Soap Company on South Beaver Street in York.  Ariel Lindbaugh is the manager. She says some people are surprised when they find out the building is a factory.

"We ship all over the country and the world," Lindbaugh said. "People get a chance to see what we do on a daily basis, and they can help make their own soap."

Made in America Tours runs June 13-16.  For more information, visit www.yorkpa.org.
