An autopsy conducted Monday has provided investigators with virtually no information about the skeletal remains found along Route 22/322 in Perry County last week.
The autopsy performed at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown determined the remains were those of a female, but investigators were unable to determine her age and race, the cause and manner of her death, or the time frame of her death, according to Tpr. Thomas Pinkerton, a state police spokesman.
The remains were found Thursday in a wooded area next to a pull-off area just east of Newport.
