The Harrisburg chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse rallied for tougher laws at the state Capitol on Monday.
Bikers at the rally for child abuse awareness said the criminal justice system must be tougher on abusers, who are treated much too leniently by the courts.
"These perpetrators are getting off because it's their first offense," said Rich Schaffstall. "They're getting off with a couple months here, a couple months there. It needs to be their last offense."
The group placed stuffed animals and cardboard tombstones on the Rotunda stairs, each representing a child who died in the past year due to abuse.
