Tracie M. Sposito (submitted)
ENOLA, Pa. (WHTM) -
Police have arrested a Cumberland County woman on charges she was running a house of prostitution.
Tracie M. Sposito, 45, of Enola, operated and promoted the illegal business from her home in the first block of Southmont Drive, according to East Pennsboro Township police.
Police said they began an investigation last month after a detective checking an Internet site recognized Sposito, who had previously been involved in prostitution in Dauphin County.
The detective called Sposito and arranged to meet for sex with two women for a fee, police said.
Sposito and two other women were detained at the home Tuesday after accepting money from undercover detectives, according to police.
According to court documents, one of the other women admitted to police that she rented a room from Sposito for $40 a day to conduct sex acts. She related that Sposito would make the appointments, and would get $150 of the $250 received for each sexual encounter, police said.
Sposito admitted to making somewhere between $400 and $1,000 a day for performing sex acts, police said in the court papers.
