A woman was killed on Interstate 83 in York County after a collision with a tractor-trailer pushed her car over the concrete median and into oncoming traffic, according to police.
State police said the woman was driving northbound when the truck driver merged into her lane at mile marker 21 in Manchester Township.
Her Subaru was pushed to the top of the concrete barrier and dragged for about 100 feet before it went into the southbound lanes and collided with another 18-wheeler, police said.
The victim was identified as 53-year-old Susan Gunther of Monroe, New York.
The driver of the southbound tractor-trailer was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The southbound lanes have been closed since the crash occurred at 2:30 p.m.
