DARBY, Pa. (AP) - A shooting at a suburban Philadelphia hospital campus has killed one worker and injured two other people. Prosecutor Jack Whelan says one of the injured is the gunman. The Yeadon police department says the shooting happened this afternoon at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, a few miles southwest of downtown Philadelphia.

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (AP) - The attorney for a Pennsylvania man charged with involuntary manslaughter after a dresser fell on his two toddler daughters says their deaths were a "tragic accident," not a crime. Beaver County District Attorney Anthony Berosh says the girls would have lived if David Beatty had checked on the girls when he heard the dresser fall on July 4th. Instead, prosecutors say, Beatty waited 10 to 15 minutes and the girls died when the heavy dresser kept them from breathing.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities say a mother and teenage daughter have died of injuries they suffered when their food truck exploded in Philadelphia earlier this month. The city medical examiner's office confirmed that 17-year-old Jaylin Landaverry Galdamez died Tuesday and 42-year-old Olga Galdamez died Sunday.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Rock star Jon Bon Jovi will be honored with an award named for an opera singer. The Marian Anderson Award is given in Philadelphia to "critically acclaimed artists who have impacted society in a positive way." Bon Jovi will accept the $25,000 award on November 18th at the city's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.
