YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

A three-vehicle crash injured two people and closed part of Interstate 83 South near York for about five hours, according to state police.

Trooper Michele Davis said one of the drivers, 23-year-old Kylie Boughter of Etters, was taken to York Hospital and was listed in serious condition following the Tuesday morning crash near the N. George Street Exit in Manchester Township.

Another driver, 32-year-old Larry Martinez of New Cumberland, was treated at the hospital and released.

Police said Martinez failed to slow his Toyota Sienna as traffic approached a line painting crew and struck Boughter's Mazda Protégé from behind at around 9:30 a.m. The impact pushed Boughter's car into a third vehicle, a Ford F350 pickup truck driven by 63-year-old Robert Hackman, of Denver.

Both Hackman and Boughter were wearing a seatbelt, but Martinez was not buckled up, Davis said.

I-83 South was closed between the N. George Street and Route 30 exits until shortly before 3 p.m.
