It's a Music Weekend!!! 11/19-11/20

Posted: Updated:

First of all, without telling how old I am, the past 3 months I have been getting all kinds of emails from the AARP, SeniorPeople.com, the Scooter Store and Medicare!!!  I'm sensing a message here.....and I gotta tell ya, I'm just not ready, emotionally OR chronologically!!  These people are jumpin' the gun a bit.   I AM looking forward to those early discounted dinners at Denny's though!

This weekend, I decided to mention just a few things going on Musically around the area!  Remember, get on and blog with me or shoot me an email and let me know about what's going on in your area so I can feature it!  email is ecruise@abc27.com.

November 19th

Before we get to the music, the 25th Annual Holiday Parade will take place this Saturday, beginning at 12:00 noon!!  The threat of it not happening made me very sad, so I'm excited they have decided to go through with it and there are over 90 entrees, so it should be fantastic!  As usual, it begins at City Island, across the Market Street Bridge and on up 2nd Street.  Dress warmly and enjoy!!

"Who's Bad" Benefit Concert - this should be a terrific event to help raise funds for the Pride of the Susquehanna River Boat.  All the excitement begins at 7:30 at the Radisson in Camp Hill and features the world renowned Michael Jackson tribute band, "Who's Bad".  You can purchase VIP tickets for $40 or General Admission for $20.  For more information, go to harrisburgriverboat.com.

Demi Lovato - Hershey Theatre in Hershey.  Show begins at 7:30.  Tickets are $45.  Call the ticket office for more info at 717-534-3405.

November 20th

Trans-Siberian Orchestra Winter Tour - This progressive-metal orchestra meshes music, lights, theatrics and storytelling into one spectacular stage show!!!  Check it out at the Giant Center in Hershey!  Two shows:  3:00pm and 7:30pm.  Go to ticketmaster.com for more info.

Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz - presents internationally known flutist and tenor saxophonist, Lew Tabackin with his touring trio, as part of their 2011 Fall Concert Series at the Sheraton-Hershey from 6:00-10:00pm.  Tickets are $25 for adults, $5 for students and children under 12 attend for FREE.  For more info go to cpfj.org.
