It was halftime during an East Pennsboro football game last month when senior Matthew Aikey had a chance to win a new car.
All he had to do was pass, punt, and kick the football. It came down to a 32-yard field goal. He did it, and the crowd went crazy.
"I was kind of in shock right away," Matt said.
The win was especially sweet for Matt since he's had a tough year. He lost his mom about five months ago.
"He is doing really well," said his dad, Carl Aikey. "I would like to say 'thank you' to the East Pennsboro School District teachers, [and] the kids have been so supportive."
On Friday, Brenner Chrysler Jeep gave Matt his prize: a 2011 Chrysler 200.
"We were very pleased it was him," said Mike Brenner, CEO of Brenner Dealerships. "We can't think of a more deserving person."
His classmates were there to help him celebrate.
"I can't wait for a test drive," said friend Samuel Putt.
Matt says he plans on keeping to car for a long time.
"I'll just drive it till it dies. It'll get me through college," he said. "I'm excited."
