Carlisle Partners in Real Estate and Lebo Plumbing-and-Heating gave Heaven Kelley, 12, of Mount Holly Springs a $3,600.00 donation.
Carlisle Partners in Real Estate holds an annual fundraiser, and decided to donate the money to Heaven's family this year. Tim Lebo, of Lebo Plumbing and Heating, decided to match their donation.
When Heaven gets home after chemo treatments at St. Jude's Hospital in Tennessee, she is often too weak to walk up the stairs to her bedroom...
The family has turned the garage into her new bedroom. The money will help pay for those renovations.
"It feels great," said Andrew Kronenberg, from Carlisle Partners in Real Estate. "Especially this time of year and for such a local cause."
"I was more than happy to do so, I felt really good about it, and I wanted to do it," said Tim Lebo, of Lebo Plumbing and Heating.
Heaven's family is happy for the support.
"You just wake up and are glad you have another day," said Janey Kelley, Heaven's Mom. "We really appreciate what everybody does. I don't think we'd be able to do it without the help."
It's an especially nice donation since, multiple donation jars for Heaven were recently stolen from Carlisle Area Businesses. Two people are charged.
Heaven has to head back to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Tennessee for her final chemo treatment.
