HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Lemoyne businessman who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and embezzlement from an employee benefit plan has been sentenced to spend two years on federal probation.

Craig Bachik, 50, co-owner of Kairos Design Group, LLC, had conspired to embezzle Individual Retirement Account contributions from eight employees, according to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith.

From July 2005 through December 2007, a total of $44,233 was misappropriated from employee IRAs, Smith said.

According to Smith, the company also failed to make the required three-percent employer matching contributions to the accounts.
