Ok, I am fighting off the urge to hibernate, well to EAT first and THEN hibernate! I don't know about you, but January can really do a number on me, my psychy and my waistline! The trick I find is to keep moving, make plans that involve getting out of the house, to start! Wear a bright color! That gives me an instant boost in optimism! Will we finally get that long-awaited snow this weekend? Well, if we do, get out there and be a kid, make a snowman or have a snowball fight. Good way to relieve stress! Ha! Have a safe weekend everyone!

Other happenings:
There are way too many art exhibits to mention, but fortunately, there is one in just about every community. Check with your local schools, colleges, libraries, churches and galleries. Go out this weekend and support the arts! For instance, here's an example of one: Works by Lucy Londoner at the Dillsburg Area Public Library. With a background in computer graphic art, Lucy has turned to the fine art of painting and will have her works on display.
Don't forget to check out your local bars and restaurants for fine dining and "live" music! There are some terrific specials going on in January, not to mention a lot of new talent out there as well! Support your local businesses AND your local musicians! Here's a couple of suggestions: Gabriella's Italian Restaurant on Rt. 22 in Harrisburg, or Victor's in York, where they have live music while you eat!!
Lastly, take a Yoga class, a Zumba Class, Line dancing or Ballroom dance class! Getting or staying in shape doesn't have to be about the boring grind of a treadmill at your local gym. These classes are fun and most are pay-as-you-go, just in case you're afraid to commit! Check with your local dance studios and churches!
