LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

State police said they have filed charges against a Lancaster County man accused of committing 30 burglaries during a six-week crime spree late last year.

Donald Welsh Jr., 37, of Narvon, was already in the Lebanon County Prison and awaiting trial for several home burglaries last month in Palmyra and South Londonderry Township when the additional counts were filed Wednesday.

Police said the crimes were mostly daytime residential burglaries in which money, jewelry and firearms were stolen.

The burglaries occurred from Nov. 7 to Dec. 16 in Leacock, Salisbury, Paradise, Paradise, Sadsbury, Rapho, Caernarvon, East Donegal, West Donegal, and Mount Joy townships.

According to online court records, Welsh was released from prison last October after serving four years for burglary and other charges.
