The Lancaster County Humane Society needs help providing for an influx of dogs that have recently come into its care.
Directors said the shelter has rescued more than 50 neglected dogs from unsanitary living conditions.
More than 30 of them were seized from a Gordonville home that could not provide proper care. Twenty others were taken from a condemned house in Lancaster City.
"The dogs are going up for adoption soon," said Danielle Ball, director of humane law enforcement. "We need people to come in that have loving hearts and loving homes and will give them a good life. And we do accept donations."
The rescued dogs include mixed breeds and miniature poodles. To help, you can go to www.humaneleague.com/donate.
