A York man is accused of attacking his estranged wife at her place of work and forcing her to leave with him, according to police.

Northern York County Regional police said 38-year-old Carlos Santiago on Sunday went to the Dover Township group home where his wife worked, punched the woman several times, and forced her out of the home and into his vehicle.

Santiago then drove toward West York until the woman was able to get out of the car and call 911.

The victim was treated for facial injuries that included a bite mark on her face and a swollen eye.

Santiago was taken into custody and charged with simple assault, unlawful restraint, criminal trespass, harassment, and resisting arrest.
