Dismembered dogs, occult items found in Pa. home

COATESVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Police have arrested two people after more than a half dozen dismembered dogs were found inside a house.

SPCA officers carried evidence from the Coatesville home on Monday. Officials say the inside of the house had elements of witchcraft and the occult displayed.

WPVI-TV reported (http://bit.ly/xIqAm7 ) that in the living room investigators found two dog skulls and a dog skeleton that had been gold-leafed. In the kitchen there were two dog skeletons on the counter and a dog's head in the freezer. A fire pit in the backyard had charred dog fragments; chicken parts were hanging from a tree.

Officials say they also found books on witchcraft and the occult, marijuana, a gun, and knives and machetes.

The television station says the two people taken into custody face numerous charges.
