STEELTON, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police are looking for the suspect in an attempted child abduction Tuesday afternoon in Steelton.

Two nine-year-old girls were walking in the 200 block of Swatara Street around 3:30 p.m. when a man approached them, according to police. He was driving a car and stopped near them.

Police said he called out to the girls to come inside his vehicle, but they ran to a nearby residence.

One of those girls, Egypt Bell, told abc27 the man said he knew their mom and dad, and offered to give them a ride home. Her friend, who didn't want to be identified, said the man made a threatening motion with his hand, and she is now scared to go to school.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned black man with a moustache. His vehicle was green in color, but the make and model are unknown.

Anyone with information is asked to call Steelton police at (717) 939-9841.
