HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) -
A tenant was injured when fire swept through the upstairs apartment of a Hershey business late Wednesday morning.
Hershey Fire Chief Pat Leonard said the resident of 128 Lucy Avenue was taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center and later flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment of burns and smoke inhalation.
He did not release the man's name.
Leonard said the fire started in the apartment, which has serious fire damage. An accounting firm and an art gallery on the first floor sustained damage from smoke and water.
The building has working smoke alarms, but Leonard said the fire was discovered by a food delivery person, who called 911 after he walked out of the building and saw fire coming from a side window.
A passerby drove the tenant to the hospital, he said.
Leonard said the fire was determined to be accidental.
