A pro-life rally was held in Hanover Township Wednesday and will continue on for the remainder of the Lent season.
The group is called '40 Days for Life', a global pro-life organization out to change perceptions. Organizers said they will not use graphic images nor will they be forceful with their ideas.
"We are caring about the abortion clinic workers, we care about Planned Parenthood workers, we care about everyone," said Judy Mlinek, head of the local chapter, "We want them to come and revere life and realize every life has value."
While the group believes the issue of abortion has direct ties to faith, local non-believers said combining religion and this kind of political policy is contradictory and unconstitutional.
"We have atheists who support abortion and atheists who are against abortion," said Ernest Perce, the Pennsylvania state director of American Atheists. "Our morality should come from society and the Constitution of the United States of America."
The rally will continue daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
