Police seek man in robbery thwarted by victim's gun - abc27 WHTM

Police said they are looking for the man who was armed with a pistol when he tried to rob a suburban Harrisburg business, but fled when the owner pulled out a gun of his own.

Lower Paxton Township police said 46-year David Butler is accused in the attempted holdup of Auto Liquidators, at 5140 Jonestown Rd., during the afternoon of Saturday, March 3.

Butler, who has a last known address in the 100 block of S. 2nd Street, faces charges including attempted robbery and firearms violations.

Police said the owner reported that a robber came into the business with a handgun and demanded cash from him. He said he then pulled out his own handgun, and the robber fled the store.

The robber was last seen fleeing in a green Ford Taurus station wagon.
