The channel is carried on Comcast on Channel 206 (13.3 for QAM tuners,) channel 109 on Cox, and channel 183 on Giles-Craig.
The ABC 13 weather team will produce local inserts which will air several times each hour, along with live local radar displayed continuously. A network staff of meteorologists will also produce live round-the-clock coverage of breaking weather conditions across the country.
In order for antenna viewers to pick up on the new ABC 13 WeatherNation channel, viewers will need to rescan their converter box or digital TV after June 13.
Those who use cable and satellite do not need to do anything because their service provider will make the changes and add the channel on their schedule.
To rescan, you should first consult the owner's manual for your converter box or digital TV. The process usually involves hitting the menu button on your remote, finding the selection for channels, and selecting auto scan or auto channel search. The scan will take a few minutes. When the scan is completed, you will be ready to continue watching WSET ABC13, RTV 13.2, and begin watching our new WeatherNation channel on 13.3. Again, this only applies to over the air (antenna) viewers.
