LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -
Two men were arrested for stealing a car and taking it for a joy ride, while hitting a vehicle along the way, according to Lancaster City police.
On Wednesday around 10:15 p.m. a person reported to police that their maroon Saturn coupe was stolen from the 800 block of Second Street. Around 11:45 p.m. a person reported their vehicle was struck by a maroon Saturn that fled the scene on Chesapeake and Strawberry Streets.
At around midnight police saw the Saturn being driven erratically through the Lancaster County Central Park.
Police stopped the driver a short time later. Lavern Millisock, 20, admitted to police the car was stolen.
The front seat passenger in the stolen vehicle, Joshua Garcia, 20, was also taken into custody.
It was determined that the stolen Saturn was involved in the earlier hit and run crash, and that Millisock was the driver of the Saturn at that time.
Police charged Lavern Millisock with theft by unlawful taking, driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, and accidents involving damage to attended vehicles.
Joshua Garcia was charged with receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy to receiving stolen property.
