Ken Washington
PENBROOK, Pa. (WHTM) -
A Harrisburg man has been charged with the robbery of a Penbrook convenience store last month.
Ken Washington, 47, is accused of robbing the 7-Eleven and assaulting the store clerk, according to borough police.
Washington has seven previous robbery convictions and had recently been released from prison after serving 15 years for robbery.
Penbrook Police Chief David Hiester said that getting him off the street is a win for the entire region.
"Mister Washington seems to have a lengthy criminal history and I believe the community and the entire Harrisburg region are a little better off with him behind bars," Hiester said.
Washington was being held in the Dauphin County Prison on $100,000 bail.
