Homeowner fires shots at fleeing burglar

CAMP HILL, Pa. (WHTM) -

A homeowner shot at a man fleeing in a vehicle after he caught the man attempting to steal from his property, according to Camp Hill Borough police.

Police said on the 2400 block of Dickinson Avenue on Sunday around 5:00 a.m., a homeowner saw a burglar attempting to steal parts of his outside air conditioning unit, police said.

The burglar fled in a vehicle and the homeowner fired several shots at the vehicle, police said

Police later found the man accused of attempting the burglary as Brandon Westerlund, 27, from Camp Hill.

Westerlund will be charged with multiple charges for the attempted burglary.

No one was injured during the incident, police said.
