CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -
Wednesday evening's storm only lasted a short while, but it caused plenty of damage in the Carlisle area.
Golf ball-sized hail was reported and many residents noticed serious dents and dings on the roofs, hoods, and trunks of their cars.
Fine Line Auto Body helped dozens of customers on Thursday with damage estimates. Owner Jack Raudabaugh said he started taking calls for estimates just minutes after the storm ended.
"I was anticipating it," he said. "I always feel bad when this does happen. This is the third year in a row for our area to have a hail storm come in."
Raudabaugh said most cars are looking at between $3,000 and $4,000 in damage.
He recommends owners speak with their insurance agent before getting an estimate so they know how much their policy covers.
