HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Did you see those clouds? Dark, threatening and quick-moving clouds barreled through the midstate Thursday afternoon and evening.

The clouds concerned a lot of people who feared the worst.

"It looked scary, like it was going to be the end of the world," Kathy Bronstein from Harrisburg said.

People spent hours closely watching the sky, but the storm that looked like it was going to pack a serious punch didn't leave a lot of serious destruction in its path.

There were scattered reports of various trees and wires down because of the winds that accompanied the storm.

Thousands were without power for part of the evening.  At one point, 10,000 PPL customers in Dauphin County were in the dark.  That number was down to about 400 when the sun came up Friday.

"It's cool now, feels good. The humidity is gone so it feels good," Bronstein said.
