A Hummelstown man has been charged with attempted homicide for a fight at an adult store and dance club in Dauphin County.

Christopher Hoon, 39, had been asked to leave the Babylon Dance Club in Reed Township early Wednesday after he appeared to be intoxicated and requested sex acts from dancers, according to arrest papers.

Hoon, however, refused to go and tried to assault the manager, 32-year-old Anthony Wolaver, of Mechanicsburg, police said.

Hoon was physically removed and exchanged several punches with Wolaver in the parking lot, then used his Chevrolet van to push Wolaver's parked Ford Expedition about 26 feet, police said in the documents.

He then drove around the parking lot and struck Wolaver head-on.

"The impact was hard enough that it threw him onto the berm of Route 22/322 and the victim due to his injuries was taken via helicopter to Hershey Medical Center," state police spokesman Trooper Adam Reed said. "His injuries included facial fractures, a concussion, severe bruising and damage to his rotator cuff."

Hoon also drove into the glass front door of the Babylon store, smashing the glass out of the frame, police said in the charging documents. He then fled on Route 22/322 but was identified by Wolaver through a photo array, police said.

In addition to attempted homicide, he was charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, driving with a suspended license and accidents involving injury while not properly licensed.

He was being held in Dauphin County Prison on $300,000 cash bail.

Police said Hoon's driving license had been suspended for DUI and he was classified as a habitual offender.
