HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A 10-year old went on a joyride Saturday afternoon after reportedly stealing a moving van.

Harrisburg police say the boy entered "Parks Van and Storage" near 15th and Randolph streets just before noon, and hijacked one of the vans.

Employees chased the van, but it only went about two blocks before it stalled at 17th Street.

Witnesses say the van skimmed a bus before it came to a stop.

Employee Zach Rider told abc27 this could have been much worse.

"It finally stalled and we got out and there was this little kid that stole the truck," he said. "There was a lot of cars. If he would have kept going, he would have plowed the line of cars. So a lot of people could have gotten hurt."

Police say the boy is facing several charges, including operating a vehicle without a license and theft of a vehicle.
