Family, friends and volunteers searched Palmyra and Derry Township Wednesday afternoon for signs of a 21-year-old woman who has been missing for ten days.
Kortne Stouffer was last seen by neighbors during the early morning of July 29 when she returned from a night out in Harrisburg. The Lebanon County district attorney's office has said it is treating the disappearance as "suspicious."
The search teams spent about three hours in fields and wooded areas near her apartment, but found nothing that appears to be linked to her disappearance.
Her father, Scott Stouffer,, said he is holding onto hope that she is still alive and that someone has information that will bring her home.
"If the person is listening today that knows where Kortne is or has
any information, if you're a father, I hope this hits you: I
want her back," Stouffer said. "Help us. Just help us. Please help us. Don't make these
efforts be in vain. Don't let anything happen to her that you really
don't want to have happen to her. Help us get her, help us get to her.
Help bring her home."
Carlisle attorney Karl Rominger is representing the family pro bono and says they are trying to hire private investigators to conduct their own investigation.
The family is also offering a reward of $22,500 for information concerning her whereabouts.
Anyone with information is asked to call Palmyra police at 717-838-8188.
