HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) -
An early morning fire damaged a student home on the Milton Hershey School campus in Derry Township.
The fire broke out in the Silverbrook home at 877 Meadow Lane and was initially reported as a kitchen fire.
Derry Township police said the building has heavy smoke, water and fire damage. Firefighters had to cut holes in the roof to extinguish the flames. The damage was centered around the kitchen and dining area of the home.
Eight students and two adults were inside the home when the fire started. There were no reports of injuries.
Police are investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
The residents of the house will be moved to another building for the time being.
