2 arrested in Manchester Township home burglary

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

Two people were arrested for a daytime home burglary in Manchester Township, York County after they tried to sell the stolen property at a pawn shop, according to police.

Catherine Smith, 49, and Clyde Searles, 54, both of the 200 block of Belvidere Street were taken into custody Thursday in West Manchester Township, Northern York County Regional police said.

Both were arraigned on a count of receiving stolen property, but additional charges may be filed, police said.

The burglary occurred Wednesday in the 600 block of Woodlandview Drive. Police said the burglars forced open the front door and took a coin collection and jewelry.
