HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
A U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge has approved the sale of York County-based Wolfgang Candy to an Alabama company.
Divine Serendipity of Birmingham plans to purchase Wolfgang's equipment and product for $885,000. It will rent the three buildings on Fourth Avenue, which are currently owned by M&T Bank, for at least the next four years.
Wolfgang attorney Larry Young said the deal will keep the company in North York and protect the jobs of 50 employees.
The company filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in bankruptcy court in March.
