WILLIAMSTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -

A 52-year-old man was shot to death in a Williamstown home during a domestic incident Monday night, according to the Dauphin County coroner.

Coroner Graham Hetrick said Daniel Joseph Murphy died of a small-caliber gunshot wound to the chest at the home in the 400 block of East Market Street around 11 p.m.

Murphy's ex-wife admitted to the shooting, according to Hetrick, who said the couple was trying to reconcile after their divorce. Investigators are trying to figure out if this was self defense.

Hetrick has ruled the death a homicide, but state police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Murphy's death and have filed no charges.
