Police have arrested a man accused of firing at least 12 shots from an assault-style rifle near the Steelton-Highspire High School over the weekend.
Lance Lawson, 25, surrendered Monday afternoon and was sent to Dauphin County Prison on $250,000 bail, according to Swatara Township police.
Lawson, of Enola, has been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon on school property, recklessly endangering, and criminal mischief.
Police said Lawson got out of the passenger side of a van on Orchard Drive and opened fire at a man who was crossing the sports field in front of the school Saturday afternoon. The victim was not injured.
Authorities have said the incident was domestic related.
