MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
Police have filed charges against a second man
suspected in 10 robberies and attempted robberies at fast food restaurants in Cumberland, Dauphin and York
counties.
Sharef A. Flounoy, 38, no fixed address, was arrested Thursday at a home in Carlisle, according to Upper Allen Township police. The former Dillsburg man was sent to Cumberland County Prison
on $250,000 bail.
Flounoy and a co-defendant, 38-year-old Maurice L. Davis, each face more than 40 criminal counts for the three-month crime spree beginning last December.
Davis was arrested
in February after a burglary at the Arby's at 240 Cumberland Parkway in
Mechanicsburg. Upper Allen police charged him last month with nine additional robberies and attempted robberies. He remains in the prison on $500,000 bail.
Police said many of the crimes occurred or were attempted by breaking a window to
the restaurant during the overnight hours, with the plan to wait inside
until employees arrived.
Some employees were
attacked and then robbed of cash, which in most cases amounted to little or none, police said.
Police added that most of the crimes occurred on a Friday or Saturday. On four
occasions, back-to-back robberies were committed within one to two
hours of each other.
The two are charged in the following crimes:

Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg, where employees were forced to open a
safe by a man who was waiting inside after breaking in through a
drive-thru window;

Simpson Ferry Road in Camp Hill, where a man in a ski mask broke in
through a drive-thru window, but fled when an employee arrived;

21st Street in Camp Hill, where a man smashed a glass door and waited
for an employee, who was unable to unlock the safe;

Paxton Street in Harrisburg, where an employee was attacked in the
parking lot and forced to open the safe;

plastic bag over his head met an employee at the door and wanted inside,
but both the employee and the would-be robber fled; and
