CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -
A man has been arrested for stealing the Carlisle police chief's guns and then selling them for heroin, according to Carlisle police.
Investigators said Chief Stephen Margeson's son, Timothy Margeson, stole two loaded guns from his father's unmarked SUV and traded it for heroin.
Police then arrested Steven Williford, who purchased the two stolen guns for heroin, police said.
Williford was walking in the 300 Block of N. Hanover Street at around 11:30 Friday night when he was arrested.
Police said this is the second time Margeson has stolen his father's gun. Neither gun has been recovered, police said.
Williford is in Cumberland County Prison on $25,000 bail and Margeson on $65,000.
