MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
Police in Hampden Township continue to investigate a dog attack on a seven-year-old girl.
Two American bulldogs jumped on the girl Tuesday evening while she was walking with her grandfather in the 500 block of Mendenhall Drive, according to police.
Investigators said at least one of the dogs bit her.
She was taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center where she had surgery. Investigators said she had a second surgery Wednesday. Her medical condition was not available.
The dogs were taken to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area to be quarantined and checked for rabies.
The case was turned over to a state dog warden to determine what will happen to the dogs and whether the owners will face charges.
