GETTYSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
Giant Food Stores has begun selling beer at its Gettysburg store.
The company announced Thursday that it has opened its new Beer Garden and Eatery, which offers both eat-in and take-out food as well as a selection of domestic and imported beer.
The store at 44 Natural Springs Road seats up to 32 people and will be open Mondays through Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The store is Giant's second in the area to sell beer. The Giant at 2415 East Market Street in Springettsbury Township, York County opened its in-store eatery in May.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board has also approved an application for a restaurant liquor license at the Giant store on Linglestown Road in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County.
