YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -
A fire caused an estimated $10,000 in damage to the New York Wire Company's facility in York Thursday night.
Firefighters said the company makes wire at the plant on Market Street and uses a protective coating that requires high temperatures. Officials said they believe the heat ignited paint powder in a finishing room.
The fire was quickly extinguished in a contained area of the facility.
No employees or firefighters were injured.
