Michael Yingling Jr
LEWISBERRY, Pa. (WHTM) -
A Harrisburg man caught speeding on Interstate 83 in northern York County faces additional charges for trying to elude the officer who attempted to stop him, police said.
Michael
Yingling Jr., 35, was clocked at 82 miles an hour on I-83 South but took the Lewisberry Exit at a high rate of speed, drove around a restaurant, and swerved around the officer who tried to block him in the parking lot Thursday morning, according to Fairview Township police.
Yingling then went the wrong direction down the one-way ramp to I-83 and fled south, police said.
The officer gave up the chase but was able to get a good look at the driver and part of his license plate, and about an hour later Yingling was arrested at his job at the Rite Aid in Etters, police said.
He faces charges including fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, and speeding.
