DOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Virginia man was arrested in northern York County after he fell asleep while driving, apparently after smoking synthetic marijuana, according to police.

Northern York County Regional police said 29-year-old Evan Robert Lo Presti had been blocking a lane of Carlisle Road in Dover Township before witnesses awakened him and had him pull off the roadway Thursday afternoon.

The witnesses reported that Presti told them he had smoked K-2 synthetic marihuana before driving, police said.

Presti was given field sobriety tests before officers arrested him for driving under the influence of a controlled substance and for careless driving, police said.
