STEELTON, Pa. (WHTM) -
Investigators have determined that a house fire in Steelton late Sunday is a case of arson.
Steelton Police Detective Anthony Minium said Tuesday that investigators are following up on several leads in the fire at 701 S. Front Street and would like to speak with anyone who has information concerning the crime.
No arrests were announced.
The fire started on the front porch shortly before midnight and spread to the second floor and attic.
Responding police and firefighters evacuated the house as well as the homes of neighbors. There were no reported injuries.
A resident of 701, Suzy Kuder, told abc27 News that he had just gone to bed when he smelled something. He said he was halfway down the stairs when emergency responders began knocking on his door.
Kuder said his house was full of smoke and flames about 10 minutes later.
