CAMP HILL, Pa. (WHTM) -
An 18-year-old student was injured in the parking lot of Cedar Cliff High School in Cumberland County when he fell off the hood of a moving vehicle, according to police.
Lower Allen Police Chief Frank Williamson said the young man had hopped on a stopped vehicle before a 17-year-old boy behind the wheel began driving with the other teen on the hood.
The vehicle went about 80 feet before the 18-year-old slid off the hood. The driver could not stop in time and ran over the victim's lower legs, Williamson said.
The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was conscious and alert and able to tell officers what happened, Williamson said.
The accident occurred in the parking lot on the west side of the high school at 1301 Carlisle Road at around 7:15 a.m.
Police said their investigation is continuing and they are not releasing the teens' names.
