Members of the Spring Grove Middle School cross country team escaped serious injury when a school bus and a school van crashed about a mile north of the York County borough.
Northern York County Regional police said about ten students complained of pain following the Monday afternoon crash on Route 116 in Jackson Township, but all were checked by the Spring Grove medical staff and no one was sent to a hospital.
The team was transported back to the middle school where the students were released to their parents, police said.
Police said the bus was stopped at a railroad crossing west of Little Creek Road when the driver of the van failed to stop and rear ended the bus.
Both vehicles are operated by Durham School Services, but the names of the drivers were not immediately released.
