Harrisburg city councilman Brad Koplinski announced today that he is "seriously considering" running for mayor in 2013.
In May, Koplinski called on the current mayor, Linda Thompson to step down, saying she is dishonest and incompetent. Both Koplinski and Thompson are Democrats.
In an email sent to support today, Koplinski said he will have more to say after the general election and is encouraging residents to focus on electing Democrats in November.
"There will be plenty of time in the months ahead to discuss the future of our city and who should be mayor," Koplinski said.
Throughout Harrisburg's debt crisis, Koplinski has insisted that the city should file for bankruptcy while Mayor Linda Thompson fully believes in the receivership.
